Siobhán* Fitzpatrick Kratovil is the founding attorney of Kratovil Law PLLC. She focuses her practice on business law and estate planning, and is a trusted advisor to small business owners and their families.
Siobhán wants to make her legal services accessible, understandable, and affordable for small business owners and their families. By operating a virtual law practice, she is able to provide legal services through the use of the phone and e-mail, without the overhead costs of a traditional law firm. She passes on these costs savings to her clients with affordable, flat fee pricing on business legal services and estate planning packages.
As a solo attorney, Siobhán answers client phone calls and e-mails herself and performs all of the legal services. Her goal is to provide top notch legal services at a reasonable price.
Siobhán is also the editor of the blog Lex Mater (www.lexmater.com), a non-legalese and hopefully humorous discussion of legal questions and circumstances that arise in everyday life, including laws affecting family life, workplace, schools, and personal finances.
Over the course of her almost 20 year career, Siobhán has represented and advised individuals and private and public companies on a broad range of subjects, including business planning, corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation, federal and state securities law compliance, merger and acquisition transactions, and private debt and equity financing.
Prior to starting her own law firm, she worked in two of the largest law firms in Dallas, Locke Lorde LLP (formerly Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP) and Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP.
Siobhán and her husband, Chris (also an attorney in Dallas), have four young daughters and a rescue dog. In her recreational time, she’s a runner with more passion than speed.
* Don’t know how to pronounce Siobhán? Don’t worry. Siobhán is one of those difficult Irish first names no one outside of Ireland can pronounce or spell. It’s pronounced “shiv-awn.”
